Wendy,
I have been having fun with your Presentation Background tut. I used snowflakes for this one. I haven't tried sampled colors using blend modes yet.

Thanks Everybody,
I shot that photo out the backdoor last month, the 11th of October. We were on a fall holiday up north. My husband has never seen snow in mid October and was astonished, I loved it. I've seen lots of lake effect snow having lived in Traverse City, MI. Sheboygan Wi, where my husband grew up, is on the west side of Lake Michigan and doesn't get very much lake effect snow. Wendy... this is an example of how unpredictable the weather is in the upper Great Lakes region.
I converted the photo to b&w. Since the lighting conditions had started the job, I finished it. The grey smuges in the sky are not the cause of a dirty lens. The shutter speed was too slow and the snowflakes blurred.:D

Very very nice. Reminds me of my years in Upstate NY.
I love the round barn too, really excellent work.

Eva,

Nice presentation of the snow, but I'd rather be sitting in this chair:

Sherry,
Yesterdays thundersnow was one day short of exactly a month since the Oct 11th snow storm. The gallery photo is from our vacation last month in northern Michigan. The average snowfall in Ironwood Michigan, where the photo was taken, is about 200 inches.:D That's 200" of POWDER snow.:D
Kim,
The chair photo was taken in early August in the same area as the snow photo. It's at a friends place on a bluff overlooking Lake Superior.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.:)
Eva;)
