I have been playing with some halloween pictures. Alot of them were bad to start off with. Since I have'nt done alot of this and have limited ideas, thought I'd be brave and ask for suggestions:D
Thanks
Michelle

This is a nice layout. You did a good job of cutting your images from their background and I like the frame. You have a very cute Winnie the Pooh! Good job.

Michelle- How cute! I would choose a color other than black for your writing- maybe something from the frames you've done? You might also check out the kids fonts site that Nancy posted a link to recently: http://www.momscorner4kids.com/fonts/bfonts.htm
I'm sure they'll love your creation!

What a cute picture. They will love seeing that in a few years.
I agree with Kay, I would use another color for the font also.
You did a super job....

Michelle, you did a great job fixing the images from your earlier thread. It looks great. I too agree on the font color.

Thanks sooo much.... I can look at this for so long. I can ask my husband or daughter, but they don't really know what to look for:) The picture has my grand-daughter, Sydney, her Uncle and furry cousin. I had used a "Pooh" font, but did think it was a little bla. I changed to "Porky" and added a layer style. Sometimes I find fonts hard to make readable.. Which reminds me how do I space these letters a little more??

Hi Michelle ...
Oh that is just so cute ... and the font matches really well
You can't adjust the spacing (kerning) in Elements ... but there is a workaround :)
Go to Photoshop Elements>Preferences>Type and check Show Asian Text Options.
Now get the text tool, type your text then look at the top of the screen and you will see a new symbol ... its sort of curly and over towards the right hand side. Highlight your text and then click on it and a box will come up ... change the percentage in the box and the kerning will change.

Another tip, Michelle, is when you use a layer style, you can adjust it for the best look on your particular font. From the Menu: Layer > Layer Style > Style Effect - then drag the slider left or right to get the best proportion for your text.
