It's been awhile since I added a new image to my gallery (just been sooooo busy lately) but I finally got around to some quiet PSE time :D
I've been playing with black and white filters and came up with this using virtual photographer.....
.....it's the main image.
Comments welcome :)

Thank you Robyn :)
Yes it is my daughter, her front teeth are out at the moment so now she wants to keep her lips sealed when her photo is taken :D

Mel- nice effect! Black and white photos of children--ones that are well done--always make such an impression!

Black and whites of children are usually my favourite types of photos. Thanks for the compliment Kay :)

So, Mel, can you tell us which effect you used in this one? It really is beautiful. (And so is your daughter!).

Thanks Susan :)
That's the effect I was going for, glad it worked. My daughter has light blue eyes that, most of the time, really stand out on a photo.

For this effect I used the Virtual Photographer. Under black and white there is an effect called 'reminiscing', that's the one I used. But before I did that I did remove the colour from the photo and used levels to get a nice black and white to start from.

At the moment she is still a delightful little eight year old and at the moment I'd like to keep it that way :D ;)
By the way Deborah, I love the main image in your gallery.......it's excellent!! :)
