Steven
You took the exact same photo I was planning on.. now I'll probably have to wait until the end of the week to get mine done.:D
Cool find.
My uncle in Germany used to collect keys. I remember him taking one right out of the door while we were touristing around.

Thank you both for your nice comments. One day my goal is to be as good as you all. Believe me if she could drive she would. Call her our devil dog.

Steven, Keys to the city, wow - I have never seen a city key, can I have one?
Peaches, welcome to the photo challenge. Wonderful photo of your dog - looks as though it is trying to hypnotise the keys
Pat, that is brilliant, really thinking outside the square
Hope there are a few more entries before the week is over :D

Thanks Karen,
That Gary is always one step further out of the box though - I didn't clue in that I had the lock and the KEY!
I like your entry as well - neat composition having the keys bring the locks together, around them.

Pat- Clever idea. You must be snowbound to come up with an idea like that!
Karen- Like the arrangement of the locks and the key to the shed being visible. You mean to say Donnybrook doesn't hand keys to the city out to visiting celebrities? I normally have to have someone stop by to give them one but since you live a little far away I would be happy to mail you one. Drop me your new address in a pm when you have time and I'll send one to you. I have about 50 or so to spare.
Yes Bill, I am a collector of almost anything (actually, I just don't throw stuff out.) I can't wait for the photo challenge "Prizes you have found in cereal boxes the past 15 years that are unopened and waiting to sell on eBay." I will surely be the champion of that challenge.

Steven - What a swell shot and subject, when do you think they were made? I'm a sucker for anything with a fish. ( a recovering collector though.)
Peaches - How nice to see you down here and I love your image. Where would that pup go if it got the keys?
Pat - A very good play on the theme, hope you are staying cozy.
Karen - Nicely composed, keys multiply if you stay in the same place for too long.

Pat - It's really fun how different people see things differently ... I only saw the keys until I read your comment. Even then it took me a minute for the lock:o . Nice photo, and you stayed warm doing it!
Karen - Your first one looks like a pinwheel of locks ... I imagine them spinning. Nice crisp shot. I think with the collection in the second shot you can get in anywhere.
Ellen - Ah, the days when clocks had keys. Nice idea and another crisp shot.
Andy - That's a LOT of keys:eek: . Nice idea to use the key shape tool also. As far as deleting the white "hole" in the cut out ... what was your layer pallet like?? Was your background layer white or purple?

Oh sure Bill take my backup:rolleyes:
I have to work tomorrow so it will probably be late as usual and son is home for his birthday dinner (also Saturday), so anybody worrying about beating me can relax. I sure hope nobody is losing sleep by trying to get theirs in before me.:D
Great shots this week.. incredible how many people have a bunch of keys lying around.

Karen, there are a few keys in there that would be great scanned for your scrapbooking / greeting cards. I know you're looking forward to getting settled. Will you have to suffer downtime online while you're getting organized? That would be devastating! :D

Good one Gary!
You're in with plenty of time to spare and came in with a different type of lock to-boot. Good one!
Sure don't see any of these in this small town but since I'm such a worldly "hick" I am familiar with them. :D
Good job with the reflection... kind of a self portrait going on there. :)

Pat
We got broken into couple of years ago (broken isn't the right word because the door was never locked)
So started locking it and the kids kept losing their key.. this was the best solution.:)

Nita,
Never thought of scanning the keys for scrapping - "good thinking Fred".
As for the downtime - probably yes but what is even worse is that broadband is not available at the new place (even though it is anew subdivision)

Ellen,
Yes, I did scan them and added a layer style. I scanned about a dozen keys for future use and made them into brushes :)
