Great shot. I spend a good portion of my day in alleys so I always appreciate a good view of a building's backside. What Sioux Lookout establishment is this Pat?

Thanks everyone for your kind comments... it's the result of searching out "stairs" for this week's Photo Theme Challenge.
Steven, these are a series of 4 or 5 old stone buildings joined together. Us older-timers know it as the "Day Block", constructed by one of the first physicians here Dr. Day - he had his medical clinic there originally. I also remember climbing the inside stairs with great trepidation to visit the only dentist. You'll find him in the history I sent I'm sure. This particular end section now sells Sea-Food from the east coast would you believe, not nearly as romantic!! :) Definitely the oldest original town block of buildings - directly across the front street is the railway station of course!
Thanks again and do join in the Photo Challenge - it does take you to some interesting places!

Thanks Terry and Nancy....
This one was fun to do as I experimented a little more with different layer modes and masks.

I really like that image, too, Pat. I also like the old "abandoned" house image. You do good work!:D

Awesome photo! I love photographing back alleys, fire escapes, and the general decay of the dying old mill town I live in. Not because I look forward to the total demise of my city, but it's something different than the smiling happy outlook that people expect. The textures and angles of the buildings, etc. are an unexpected treasure. I live 40 miles south of Buffalo, so snow is a way of life for me!

Pat, I really like this image too. I looked at your gallery and think your work is wonderful. You must be a professional photographer to get so many beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks again, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the image.
Susan, I'm flattered and wish I were more advanced with photography - but I am sooooo on the opposite end, such a beginner. :)
