I have a forum/thread etiquette question. I too have a camera I want to sell. Is it appropriate to "post" here or is there a better place to do that?
Thanks in advance.

Well... according to the Terms of Use, Section 9 ("Code of Conduct"):
You agree not to do the following:
Post, store, or transmit any advertising, promotion, or solicitation of goods or services for commercial purposes except in any areas of the Site specifically designated for such purpose, and subject to applicable Site rules.
That is not the only thing it says, just the portion germane to the question. I suppose we need clarification from TPTB just how this applies to members offering things for sale on the Forum.
Good question!

I've sold at least 3 cameras and quite a few lens on E-Bay. Works great.

I'm with you Berengaria... I love Ebay. My hubby has joked many times that if I could I would sell him on Ebay  Some days it seems like a good idea ;)

Hi guys, Sorry for the delay in posting, but I actually took a day off:)
According to the TOS, I would say no it would better to sell on ebay or another such site as that is what they are set up to do and both the buyer and the seller are protected.
There is no such protection here as we are an information type service, not
a retail type.
Hope this clears up the question, have a great weekend, I'm out for the evening, I have a date with the hubby after a day of shopping:)
Take Care!

Hector,
This site is a Canon Forum (an excellent one) and they have a section "Marketplace" where you are free to post camera equipment for sale.
I've seen other brands of equipment posted as well....

I've also been successful with selling cameras on Ebay....
