Cougars

Hi,
I know that this is pretty soon after my last post but Skywriter asked if I had ever done one of cougars, pumas or mountain lions, which is the correct name? I said no but it niggled me so I did this, photos from different sites as I've never seen a cougar.

Well, Kev you beat me to it. I was looking for some pics of mountain lions to put together but couldn't seem to come across any on the web, guess I need to search harder. Great montage of these animals, well done. I have seen mountain lions a few times in our local mountains here, but from a good distance. They are really beautifull animals. The problem here is that they are so used to people that they wonder into camp sites, small towns in the mountains, etc. There have been a few attacks in the last couple of years. But I always say, we are the ones invading thier space and building in thier invironment so we can't blame them for protecting themselves. Great montage Kev.

The cougars behave like the polar bears up in Alaska. People see them roaming around and forget they are wild animals.

Just sort of depends on where you are in the country whether you call them pumas, cougars, mountain lions or panthers. Nice job with the pictures. My avatar is a baby cougar from here:
