That is a cool montage.
I do have a question, though, is the ball a softballor a tennis ball? Just had never seen one that color for softballl before.

Yep, yellow is the mandatory colors for softballs.
Since it is yellow it is a bit easier to pick-up since the girls only pitch from 40 feet.

Thanks everyone. I am trying to get a bit better or creative with the backgound. I settled this time for just using the dodge tool and lightening up the background a bit...but will try to get a bit more detailed later.

Brent,
I've just taken a good look at your gallery & wanted to add my comments. Your sports collages and posters are just amazing! - the colours, the design, the blending & the way they are put together are outstanding. :)

I am very new at this but I LOVE your picture which is in memory of "Kula" and would really like to do something similar for our "Brandy" who we lost last month. That will be my short-term goal. Thanks

Hey Kim,
Are the flames in your website real or filters?
Thanks

Brent, they are real. I took a bunch of photos of our campfire Labor Day weekend. I even made a scrapbook kit of them for the Scrapbook exchange. It wasn't very good but at least I tried.

I had enough flames the other morning at work. I forgot to pull up my hood (goes around the head, neck and ears) and went inside. Got about 20 feet and thought...screw that. It was a basement fire and they are flippen hot! I crawled back out and pulled up my hood. Then I went back in and it was much better!
Just wondering if it was a filter. still haven't seen a filter that does that good with flames.
thanks
Brent

Brent, are you a fire fighter? Sounds like that would be hot without protection.
Glad you like my flames, I don't know how to make a filter but I am thinking about seeing if I can make any good brushes out of some.

Nope, just slept at a holiday inn last night :D
I have been a firefighter for about 13 years.
Engine 33, Omaha Fire
A brush, there is a nice idea. I must admit I never use brushes.

Brent, you are just too funny, Holiday Inn.
13 years, Wow that is great. I'm too much a coward to do a job like that. Have the greatest respect for what you do though having lost a home and so many memeories to a fire when I was in the 4th grade.

People who have not experienced a fire have no idea how devasting fire can be. Not only possesions, but also emotional. It can take a toll on you.
That is why I have such a warped since of humor:D
What is really funny or demented, whichever way you look at it, is the humor. Lots of time I'll make a joke of something and my wife just looks at me and tells me "you are not at the fire station." Oh yeah, if I was at the station, I would have got a room full of laughs. Instead I get the thousand yard stare from the family <g>

Brent, I know what you mean with the humor. Sometimes it is the best way to get relief from devasting situations. We still joke about when our home burnt down. My Mom was napping when the house caught on fire. She said she woke up to the phone ringing. She got up to answer it and it melted in her hand. She turned a looked and the front of the house was on fire. She ran out the side down only to find it was the phone that woke her but the elderly woman next door screaming to her and her husband cussing the tangled garden hose he was trying to put the fire out with. Tragic as is was there are many things looking back that we were about to make jokes about that made us feel better. We didn't however find humor in that where we lived the next month (a friend of family let us use their summer cottage rental property) had no running water in the house. Just a pump out back and an outhouse:eek: :D Ok, so it is funny looking back.

Brent,
Love the collages......you have been very very busy....great ideas!!!
I had to pull out my old college yearbook from University of Dubuque, because from looking at the collages I recognized the towns and remembered friends . I was a freshman when they were filming "Field of Dreams" - the library scene is from UD...I was an extra from a far!!! And dated a AAA baseball player from Dyersville. Small world!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I have been trying to be a bit more creative. That is my weakest point. I am just amazed on the creativity of the work the forum. I tried to do some family pics and do a bit of scrappbooking type of stuff, but I ended up just beating my head up against the wall.
Denise, I haven't been to the Field of dreams, but hear it is pretty cool. I actually live on the other side of Iowa, by Omaha, Nebraska. I usually change my signature each week for fun. I put different places to describe where I live and try to find a funny signature line. So far I have failed:D

Brent, I have noticed your signature quotes change. I have meant to mention it several times and then get reading another thread and forget.
