I just found out that Matt Kloskowki has a new book coming out called The Photoshop Elements Restoration and Retouching Book. The book is going to be released on December 15, just in time for Christmas.

I look forward to having this book on my desk.

I just went on to Amazon.co.uk & it doesn't appear as if it's available in the UK - usually you can pre-order books that haven't been published yet. It is available at Amazon.com.

I've put in my preorder with Amazon. This is exactly what I need with all of the photos I'm collecting from my mom's attic!

Yep, that book is indeed in the works. I wouldn't count on the Dec 15 date exactly though. Honestly, it's looking like it'll be a few weeks later then that. I'm having a blast writing it though :)

I'm really looking forward to your new book on restoration.
I have already pre-ordered from Amazon. So I the ball is in your court and I'll wait to see the book in my mailbox. ;)

Is this forum great or what! Not only are there plenty of talented folks willing to help and share, but the experts who write the how-to manuals keep us updated as well.

That's a book I would love to have also!!! I wonder if it will be appropriate for earlier version of Elements or just PSE5.:confused:

I just looked up Matt's Book on Amazon. It is written for PSE5. I am willing to bet some of the features will work in earlier versions. Maybe Matt will see your question, and give us a better answer! :D

There are some great books by Katrin Eismann on this subject.They are written for photoshop,but most of the steps can be done with elements.
