For Nancy and others who checked out my retouching thread (or didn't....).
Here's an interesting video that was put out by the Dove soap company and geared toward girls and self-esteem. A great look at retouching and why those good looking people look so good.......

There's a "play video" thing to click on.

Hey Kerri

Thanks.

I found a Cover Page (some teen magazine sort of cover) type thing, very similar, a while ago. Had the cover model before and after and as you hovered over the different body parts they told you what they had done.

My daughter has never looked the same in photos since I showed her.:D

She used a lot of the techniques for a class project she was doing.

Thanks for the link. It was quite an eye-opener. I really like this campaign that Dove is on because it shows the girls that what they think they are trying achieve and live up to is not even real.

Great campaign!! I feel sorry for young girls today as they feel like they are expected to look like every girl on a magazine cover. That being said from a mom of 2 girls (26 and 22). Though I think my oldest one thinks in the other direction sometimes:rolleyes:

In complement of this adv., there is a short playing game:

I like very much this adv. At the end, I think that all women will benefit of it, especially, young athletes doing sports like gymnastic or ice skating or dance.

Thanks... I'm going to send both of these links to my daughters for their young daughters, who at 5 and 9 are already beginning to compare themselves to others!
