Help please

I am using PE4 and am trying to load and view about 75 RAW photos. They load in organizer but when I click on one to enlarge it stays on the screen for about 5 seconds and then the entire PE4 closes down. The first couple of times it happened there was a warning message saying "sorry, PE4 must close....etc....but then it quit giving the message and just closed. Is it the RAW files???? If so, should I use my nikon program and then just import them one or two at a time to PE4???? Thanks for any help...suzanne

Are you trying to open all 75 files at once from the organizer into the editor?

If you are it could be way to much for the program to open. I know if I open, lets say 15-20 JPEG (which are way smaller) it will prompt me to make sure I want to open that many(paraphrasing).

Maybe try just opening 2 or 3 to see if it works.

Also, do you have Adobe Raw plug-in loaded? I think mine came loaded already. But, I did update it with the newest version.

Thanks for your reply...no I was not trying to open them in editor. I was just uploading them from my camera. Then they are in Organizer and I clicked on the first one to view them in the slideshow which is what I normally do in order to sort and delete them quickly. They all loaded and had the small thumbnails but when I clicked on the first one it stayed on for just a few seconds and the entire program shut down???? May delete them all and try them in another program...sy

You are trying to upload way too many RAWs(especially RAWs as they are large files) to the program. If you do a few at a time it should be fine.

Thanks! I believe you are correct. I thought I could upload directly from my camera to PE4 but guess not. I uploaded them using my nikon view program and was able to use the slideshow to do a quick sort through and delete. The ones that need PE4 editing were just transferred in. It seems to work fine...Love the RAW, just having to adjust how I use it...Everything is a learning curve...have you noticed?? thanks, sy
