installing new fonts

Can someone help me install new fonts into Photoshop Elements 4.0? I have a PC with the latest Microsoft Windows software. In the Fonts folder inside the Control Panel, I have clicked on Install New Font, but then I cannot get the folder with the new font to show up in the window. That folder is on my Desktop, also labeled Fonts (but containing additional fonts not in the Control Panel folder). There has got to be a way to make this work. :confused:

You are making this way too hard on yourself. Find the fonts you want. Download them to your desktop. Open you font folder and drag them all in. They will show in PSE when you open it.

Thank you. I was already logged off when you answered, so I apologize for the delay. I've sent you an email because I still don't know how to do this. Hoping for more help.
