I'm am very thankful for the online course. I've been using the color correction using levels on some slide that were scanned after being around for 30 years -- the color cast has been removed in all that I've done so far. I also have used the High Pass Sharpening technique on some photos of old train trestles. Got a lot of pictures to fix, some of them I tried using other methods on and they got better but with the Levels approach they are more pleasing now.

The more I learn the more I want to go back and redo many slides, scans etc that I thought were pretty good. After the course I can hardly wait to see if I can make them better! :)

Mary,
One suggestion I usually make to people is that when they first start using Elements they scan in their old photos and slides and then just burn them to disk. That way as their skills improve they can revisit the images.
When I first started I scanned my baby album and restored the images ... so far I have redone it three more times. Its amazing how much better you get as time goes on and you learn more techniques :)
