Sensitive screen scrolling

I have a problem with the screen scrolling one complete screen height or width each time I get too close to the edge with a lasso or eraser. For example,with the lasso, I am selecting and when I get very close to any screen border, the screen jumps a complete screen width or better, dragging my selection or eraser with it.

NOTE: I normally have the pic enlarged by 300% when working with the tools.

Is there a way to preset how much movement the screen will scroll when bumped with a tool?:confused:

Are you using PSE 3.0? This is kind of a known problem with it. If you are in a tool, you can press and hold the space bar, and your tool will temporarily turn into the hand tool, so you can slide your picture around, then let go of the space bar and your tool turns back into whatever tool you have selected. Just make sure your hand is close to where you want before you let go of the space bar.
