Anyone found this problem yet?
I have a few quicktime movies mixed with my daily photos. When the downloader runs it downloads the photos but when it gets to a movie it downloads it then crashes. No message no error log it just goes away. If I uncheck all of the movies in the preview it works fine.

I think I am having the same problem and it is so bad I can't even use the organizer. It started when I downloaded movies and pics from my camera at the same time. Everytime I start Organizer it says it detects new files that have been downloaded since the last time and it will now add them to its catalog. It immediately crashes. It starts this process as soon as I start Organizer, so I can't use the program, since there is no way for me to stop this process before it crashes.
My next step is to try to move all of my movie files to another drive, so hopefully it won't see them and wont try to add them to the catalog.
I could not find a patch online anywhere to fix this. If anyone knows of a way to resolve this, please let me know. I am close to switching to a different product.

A.E.,
Sorry I don't have an answer for you but did not want to ignore either. Since I had this problem I upgraded my PC to Vista and the problem is gone. Not suggesting you do this. But when I had the problem I would just MOVE the .mov files from the SD card to a folder in my Videos folder, where PSE would discover them. Then I would read the photos as normal with PSE.
Hope this helps a bit,
Regards,
Jim
