My problem is with the magnetic lasso. Sometimes I am almost finished with the painstaking selection and the lasso jumps across the screen to connect the selection where I started. Is there a way to prevent this or possible undo that last automatic dash across my screen?

Blunder....

Welcome to the forum. You should be able to hit the Delete key to back up to the previous connect spot. Each time you hit the Delet Key it will go back one step.

Hope this helps.

remember you can also use the buttons on the menu bar to add to the selection or delete from the selection. (or hold down the SHIFT key to add, or ALT key to subtract)

Dorrie, thanks for the info. I didn't know that either! That'll be a big help to me!

Hi Dorrie,

I tried the delete key and the Ctrl+Z key to undo last operation. These both work fine until the selection has completed the loop. Once the selection has completed the circuit, nothing seems to have the power to undo it other than Crtl+D which will kill the entire selection. Any other ideas?

I think once the selection is closed, you can't undo. But, you could go up to the options bar and change to "Add to selection" (you may have to switch to the regular lasso tool), and then add more to the selection. The Add to Selection icon looks like two overlapping squares.

Thanks again Trish. Like I said, after joining and watching some tutorials, it answered many of my questions.

Bob, It looks like you have it worked out now. Glad Trish was able to answer your question while I was away yesterday. Glad to have helped.
