I am new to PSE4.0
I am currently working on our family Christmas pictures. I would like to take one person from one picture and move them to the second picture (because everyone else looks great!) Is there a simple way to do this?? Any help I can get will be appreciated!! Thanks for your time!

Yes there are many ways to get this job done and a bunch of threads that talk about it too.
Basically, "select" the person you wish to "move" to the group place, with edit copy (ctrl+c) and then edit paste (ctrl+v) them onto the background you wish to use.
Use the selection tool you prefer, then clean it up later. You will also need to move(v) the added person a bit and more than likely adjust the sizing and possibly shading due to different lighting.

There is a very well written method in Kelby's "Down and Dirty Tricks" book for lelemts 3, but it is works great in 4 too.

Thanks so much for your tips! It has taken quite some time, but I believe I am satisfied! Your tips helped me...especially the "clean up"! I never thought of that. Thanks again for your time! Have a lovely day!!:)

Carmer,

I glad you got the help you need. How about showing us the end result, it could get the rest of us motivated to start on our Christmas projects :D

Karen, I'd be happy to let you see what I did. I hardly ever post things on the web for people to see, because I'm not sure of the best way? Tips?:)
I'd love to post my projects and get tips, suggestions, and constructive criticism. I'm fairly new with PSE4 and have recieved a lot of help from Linda Sattgast DVD! I'm excited about spending a lot of time this fall/winter on digi scrapbooking for my little pumpkin who's 14 months old! I have a lot of pictures that are waiting to be "played with".
Thanks for asking...

Hi Carmen ...

Here are some instructions :)

Open your image then do File>Save for Web
When the Save for Web dialogue box come up there is a section over on the bottom right hand side where you can change the pixels size (see A) if you tick Constrain Proportions then you only need to change the longest side then just click on Apply. Next take a look at the new size (B) ... if it is still too big then use the quality slider (C) until the size is OK

Set the longest side to 750 pixels then adjust the quality slider until the image is around 150K and save it with a new name.

then go to:
http://www.pixentral.com/index.php

Follow the instructions on the site and then when your image is uploaded copy the URL from below the image (the one marked forums) and paste it into a message here :)

It sounds much more complicated than it actually is :)

You guys are awesome! Thanks for sharing to graciously!! Here's my altered pictures. My husband is "copied" from another picture and my head is also copied from another picture. Tell me what you think. Also, any tips or advice on the entire picture/card: 4x6). While I'm thinking about it, I have a question about printing these cards. I normally download to Walmart's online photolab and have them print my projects this size. I have had trouble with them cropping the entire image and cutting off the edges. Is there an website with quality printing that I could trust to print at least 100 of these cards? I am also interesting in keeping my costs down.;)

Here is my attempt at sharing my Christmas card for 2006:

Have a wonderful afternoon!!!
