Good Morning everyone,

I still spending many hours with PSE5 trying to absorb it all. Searching for Plug-ins, styles, etc.

I was wondering about photo-layouts. Once you create the page, what type of file should you save it as. I would like to create the layouts but not for printing I am thinking perhaps a DVD Slide show. I dont think I want to print hundreds of scrap book pages, but putting them a DVD so everyone can enjoy at the same time appeals to me.

If you create a scrape book layout and you want to print it for framing, would the photo printer handle all that artwork? Can you suggest what type of paper should be used. (I have an HP Photo printer)

I would also like to suggest a PSE5 Catagory for the forum. I think its going to be a great source of information for all. :)

Thank you for suggestions,

If you're creating a layout based on one of the templates alredy there, I would recommend saving it as a .psd file so all your layers remain intact for easy adjustments later, and you could also save as a .jpg (high quality) for printing.

The printer will handle it - when it spools over to your printer, it looks at the creation as 1 picture, not all the little elements.

paper is really a personal decision - I use high gloss for printing (I use Kodak paper on an Epson printer) - see if a local paper distributor will give samples of 1 or 2 or three sheets of different stocks (hey, it can't hurt to ask...) and see which print best for your setup -
