What kind of marker do you use to mark on the back of inkjet printed paper information such as the print identification, etc.? Is it indeliple? Does the tip impression show through the print?
Thanks for your help with all three questions.

Tom

I just use an archival quality sharpie which you can get at any scrapbooking or office supply store. It won't bleed through and won't degrade the paper.

My favorite is a Pilot G-2. Will even write on wet paper (not that you probably want to try that) and holds up under all kinds of adverse conditions. The image will disappear before the mark (I know I've used it on inkjet printouts that got rained on :D )

Wow, perhaps the choice of pens is more complicated than meets the eye. I tend to write hard so this is a big issue for me.

Tony, after you put me on to the Pilot G-2, I read a couple of mixed reviews on this pen suggesting that the ink may not dry as fast as that of others and that there has been evidence, contrary to your experience that the ink will run in moisture. I am not overly concerned about this as my photos will be gone in moisture anyways, but I am concerned with the drying rate.

Nancy, I use Sharpies all the time. I was afraid to try these on a print, but I shall.

While looking for the Pilot G-2 I found this review that I thought was worth sharing: http://mikeshea.net/Mikes_Rollerball_and_Foun.html. The most interesting part of this is the offer of metallic ink, fast drying gel ink pens by Sakura in colors including gold, copper and silver. If these work well and look good, they may offer the additional vehicle for personalizing ones photos. I have ordered some of these to try.

I hope my penmanship is helpful to others.

Tom
