View Full Version : Bonus Lessons

I realize I'm going to embarrass myself here, but in case anyone is as dense as I can be, I'll pass this on.
There are bonus lessons for Day 7, Day 14 and Day 21.
In my own defense, I am always in such a hurry to download the lessons and view them, that I don't scroll down the page. (I also don't usually download the lesson's image, so that's another reason why I've missed these wonderful bonus lessons.)
So, please don't laugh or talk about me in the back of the classroom.

  I missed them too until someone mentioned them here. The first bonus was on stitching together panoramas. The second was on Duotones and the third is on depth of field. (In case you missed them).
I appreciated what I learned from all three of them.

Thanks Wendy. I appreciate the time that you took to help me.
This was just too easy!! I thought the bonus lessons were included in the downloads, and never thought to scroll down. Apparently, I never thought! :D
This forum is great. Naturally, I'm learning ALOT from the membership content and the online training course, but I'm also learning alot from the forums. It's just chock full of surprises, (all the neat stuff that Elements does). Photoshop Elements is a wonderful program with a terrific support system.
My sincere thanks.....

Bobbie,
Glad to help ...
It is amazing just how many new things there are included with Elements ... just when you think you know it all you find something else :)

Do you think we get Bonus lessons for Dave's Portrait Retouching ? I'm only at lesson 3. It's always nice to get More Bang for the Buck.

If we are ALL in the back row, Wheres' the front row?
Drinks are being paid for by the front row-it's smaller. Mines a Malt whisky or Bourbon if I have to.

Wendy,
I'm curious to see if he is going to get into RAW also. After the seminar with Ben Willmore I have been working at it a lot more. I'm sold, I just don't like the long write time with my camera.

Did you do the Scott Kelby online classes? ... there was a lot of info on dealing with Raw images in those :)

Wendy,
Yes. As I put to Chris on the other thread, I learn more from each different teacher.

Rich ...
I find that everyone puts a different slant on the specifics of using Elements and the software contains so many things that there are always going to be new things to learn.
Most tools can be used in lots of different ways and for lots of different purposes ... so my view is that the oportunities for learning are pretty well unlimited.
I have been learning it for quite a while now and I'm still learning new things ... :)

Hi People;
I just enrolled in the Portrait Retouching class. I guess the new guy has to buy the first round.......
Was planning to wait untill I was done with the Digital Photography Workflow before I start the Retouching.
But figured I could learn from both at the same time.
:)

Hi ...
Oh my goodness you are going to be busy :) ... but I'm sure that you will learn a lot from them both.
I did the Digital Photography workflow one a while back and though it was really excellent ... the Portrait Retouching class I have only just started but I am impressed with that one too :)

Could you guys in the back keep it down!
If the teacher is forcing me to sit up front it is not right that you can continue to have fun. :P

I'm taking both classes and that is working out great. The retouching class seems tp emphasize using layers more. They show different techniques which do the same thing. Studying the book at the same time (even though I'm not jumping around) is working out quite nicely.
As for the bonus pictures. I almost missed it and had forgotten reading about them here. Perhaps the header for the lesson could mention the bonus lesson.

Hi there ...
Sounds like you are really enjoying them :)
I think they put the bonus lessons in to give us a surprise ... never imagining that a lot of us would miss them. Still I think we all found them in the end :)
