HELP! Lost my artwork and effects

Help - I just got thru downloading Panos' thumbs (created subfolders like he suggested) and when I went back into PE5, all my artwork/effects are gone!!!:eek: I have no idea what happened to them.

I did a system restore back a couple of days in case I did something wrong but that didn't work either.

Does anyone know what might have happened?? Before I have to re-install PE5. And when I re-install, will all my downloaded effects be there? They are in the folders in Explorer because I checked but nothing is showing up in PE5.

I'm freaking out now:eek: :eek: :eek:

Try holding down the shift key when you restart Elements (that forces a rebuild of Artwork and Effects). See if that brings them back.

Oh my gosh!!! That worked! I am forever in your debt:D :D. I had no idea what to do except reinstall. My many thanks to you!!! I have no idea what happened to them in the first place.

That's great! My guess is that for some reason Elements didn't detect the changes and didn't automatically rebuild the cache. Holding down Shift forces it to rebuild. Did you get your Panos thumbnails?

Well, since I restored my computer to yesterday (I thought I did something wrong), they were gone so I have to put them back in again.
