V5 Downloading from scanner

I have a years of 35mm slides to scan and put in my own file system first. The file name will be yyyymmDescription for the batch of slides.

Then download into PS to process by batch.

Will I be able to get PSE5 to give me a single file with the same name, i.e mixed numeric/alpha?

Why not download them into PSE 5 as you scan them. Then use tags and collections to organize them. I understand that PSE5 will separate and straighten several files at once.. such as a page full of slides or pictures from your scanner. I also think you can rename them at the downloader also.
I got some slides to do myself as soon as pick up a decent scanner.
