Hi this is my first post. I downloaded camera raw3.1 & Dng converter
uziped it in adobe plugin file. Question is how do I convert raw to Dng?
Also Which is best Tiff, jpeg or Dng. thx.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your first post. :)
From reading previous posts a while ago, (I think they are lost now) most of the people around here seem to be forgoing the DNG format at this time. It is still quite new and right now there is no compelling reason to change. :?
What most are doing, (myself included) is
:arrow: import the photo
:arrow: save as a psd while it is being edited
:arrow: save as a high quality jpeg or tiff for the final image or psd
space permitting
or save for web if you are posting it or emailing it.
Never work on the original..duplicate it and work on the duplicate. I don't think this is necessary if you work in RAW because you have to save it as something else when you are done the RAW adjustments so you are in fact working on a copy.
