Hi,

Could you provide a few more details please?
How long is your project, what type of dvd drive/system are you running,
do you get an error messages, either in the project or when attempting to burn etc etc :)

Thanks!

Ok, then try this...

Instead of burning to a disc see if you can *burn* it to a folder on your hard drive.

when you click dvd a dialogue box pops up and you have some options to choose from, instead of to disc click the radio button that says burn to folder.

IF that goes ok, once it's saved to the folder then use your dvd burning software that came with your system, I'm not sure what comes on the HP's
probably Roxio to try and burn your disc.

Let me know how it goes :)

i already tried that and it had the same problem... when it hangs the program does cancel gracefully and i have to use windows to kill it.

OK :)

Sounds like your project file is corupt then.

this is what I would like for you to try:

Open your project and copy all of your media files (media window CTRL +A, CTRL +C)

then make a new project and paste it all to the new project, save.
Then go back to the old project and do the same with the timeline.
Go back to new and paste it all to the new project.

This works in FCP and PRE Pro, but I've never tried it in PRE.

IF it works, then rerender the project and then try to burn again.

Let me know :)

a new project file worked, burn to disc, and then burn to DVD. BUT I am not getting an audio_ts folder and the dvd has no sound. Suggestions?

What format is your audio in your project? I had trouble with MP3 encoding, but when I re-encoded to WAV my trouble went away, too.

interestingly, since i was seeing a codec load error, i upgraded both my machines to windows mediat 10 and viola the file elements wrote played audio....
