I run a PBG4, 1GB CPU, 60 GB mem, Mac OS 10.2.8.
PE3 installs just fine, but it has crashed every time I try to open it. The crash report says "exec bad command", "exceeds window range". I have not had a problem with any other app.
I have worked through most of the "solutions" in the Adobe Document #328623, but to no avail. I am at a loss what to do. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi... welcome to the forums :)

Sorry to hear that you are having problems... I'm on XP so hopefully Wendy or another regular MAC user will be along to help soon...

Was deleting the preference file one of the things you tried?

Did you disable any anti-virus or adware software before commencing install?

Oh .. now that is a new one on me :(

You haven't got Norton installed have you? if you do have then disable it as it causes havoc with the install :)

I would suggest that you just trash PSE3 and start again ... its easy enough to do, you just drag the PSE3 folder into the trash ... that gets most of it then you should also delete com.adobe. Photoshop.Elements.plist, the PE 3 preferences folder and the PE 3 Paths folder, all of which reside in you user/library/preferences folder.

Then just install again and we will keep our fingers crossed ..
