Alice, did you get any snow on the front that came thru on Thurs? Our sand & salt domes are full and ready to go. Not looking forward to this winter. They say it's going to be a bad one.

Hi,Valerie! All we got was a quick snow shower with great big wet flakes that lasted about 10 minutes-enough time to take a quick movie, but not enough to get Molly into her snowsuit....rats!I guess Fort Erie got clobbered,though-45 cms! What a hoot! But Raffy's ready!

Thanks Alice. Ben is sleeping now - it is 8.20 pm and I don't do nights, so I should get a good night's sleep :D

We've got some great entries goin' this week.

Valerie - That's a very nice collage ... any yes, it was very well timed.

Steven - Great shot of the Underwood, and I really like the background.

Alice - Now Raffy's driving front-end loaders? Good entry .. I like the b&w treatment of the snowy salt dome.

Shari - I'll be right over .... make mine a triple please. Nice shot ... and it may not be the last espresso machine we see in this week's postings:) .

Karen - Very good use of Ben's toys in your interpretation. Soon Ben will be hooked on PSE!!

Carol - Sounds like it hurts! But a good entry and photo.

Byron - I love it. From the gecko to the grunge to the label (how did you do the label??) it all works. Nicely done.

Dave - Great photo. Good use of the natural fall colors and nice clarity.

Cathy - When those phones first came out they looked so new. Good shot.

Keep the entries coming.

Bill,

I don't think Ben will be interested in PSE - it doesn't have wheels and go vroom vroom :D Thanks for the comments.

...Byron - I love it. From the gecko to the grunge to the label (how did you do the label??) it all works. Nicely done...Bill,

I appreciate your comments!!

The label was the easiest part of the image -- I just used Panos' Embossed Label (http://www.panosfx.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=162) effect.

I guess I went a bit overboard on the whole project. I thought that as long as I had the hood up on the VCR, I would use it's innards as my "machine". I stuck the rubber lizard in there and snapped the shot, then proceeded to whack away at the image with PSE.

The funny part is that I think I left the lizard in the VCR!! My grandson will probably wonder what became of it. (I have to take the cover off when I want to use it, anyway, because it doesn't eject tapes anymore, and I only need it to play while I capture my old home videos in Premiere Elements.)

Thanks, again!!

Thanks Bill. I set up the Underwood with a piece of paper quite awhile ago. I typed in "It was a dark and stormy night." I then asked friends to add a paragraph when they saw the typewriter, hoping for the great collective American novel. Everything typed since had to do with Monica Lewinski and the high tech stock boom. I guess no one has added anything for almost 10 years!:(

Bill,

I am getting jittery just looking at it... been off of caffeine for 3.5 years, now, and on those times I do take some, I can really feel it!
