I tried to create one of the new web book features in Elements 5.
This webpage still has some script problems but I managed to come up with a trial one.
Turn the pages with the curled corners on the lower right hand side of the book

I think it is fun for visitors to the web pages and cute and I may incorporated one into one of the web pages but I am not sure it shows off the pictures well. The text under the pictures is what is under your pictures in the organizer.
I know how to change the size of the book through the script and other things such as color, but I have not tried to change any of the xml script within the folder to see if I can manipulate it to change the picture size or location or the location of the captions. One of the xml scripts looks like it might be able to be manipulated. I see it renders them to 400 by 300.
As it is now, the size will change with your monitor size, I have it set at 100%, I tried smaller. I have not tried to email one.

That is pretty cool. I've seen that feature on a magazine site I go to but found flipping the pages was finicky (or maybe it was just me). I had no problem with yours at all. Looks like pse 5 has some neat new features.

Shelia,
Beautiful!! It does seem to have some "bugs" when using the FireFox web browser but Internet Explorer worked fine.

I can't get the pages to turn - why would that be?

what browser are you using? And you have to drag the page across with the curser.

Sadly it doesn't seem to work on the Mac :(

I may be wrong, but I do not think the type of computer(PC/MAC) you are using should effect it. It would be the browser you are using and the flash version you have installed. What browser is your Mac using? And what version of flash is presently installed?

That is very cool. I like the look and feel of the whole thing. I had trouble turning the pages at first too. Clicked and double clicked everywhere until I happened upon the click and drag on the curl solution. It might be worth adding a line of "how to turn" instructions for simple-minded folks like me. :) Great work though. Well, worth the effort!

I have discovered, if you want to alter the text under a picture after the book is created(I had typed dwarf incorrectly and wanted to fix it), you can go into the main folder, then resources, then groups and alter the groups.xlm file. I had to open another browser window to see the results after sending it across the ftp. Just refreshing the page did to work.
But it was good to find I can alter the text.
If you check the last page of the book you can see I altered it.

Sheila,

That is just so cool. What a neat idea. I don't have V5 yet but I might have to ask for it for Christmas.

Sheila - I love it. I just figured out the drag from reading these posts. Can you do that and e-mail it to someone? or would it just work if you have a web site of your own?
