Hello.

I'm a little hesitant to buy Elements v5 and install it on my system.

I've got a 1.3 GHz Intel Celeron processor with 512 MB SDRAM. Hard drive space is not a problem to me, since I've already purchased a huge second hard drive to hold all my photos!

According to Adobe's system requirements, my computer would pass, but I'd be more reassured if someone with system specs similar to mine told me the program worked perfectly without or with minimal lag.

Maybe you could wait for the demo version to be available? Shouldn't be long, I believe.

True; Thanks! I downloaded the Photoshop CS2 30-day trial a while back and it worked good on my system. I would think these two programs required about the same amount of resources. I'll be keeping an eye out for that trial version...

I don't know for PSE5, though, it's a themed application (it doesn't look like other Window applications, so this may require more resources from your computer).
