How do I make new folders?

I'm using Elements 4. The help file says that I can create new folders in folder location view by right-clicking in the left window. On my screen, this is the window with all the folders listed. When I right-click, I get a window with "new folder" dimmed. What am I missing? Thanks.

Have you actually selected a folder to create the new folder in?

to make a new folder just right click on your desk top. In the box click new-folder. you can then darag or copy to wherever you want the file to go. This is for a PC.

Yes, I have tried selecting every folder in the window. None of them let me add a folder.

Yes, I am using a PC. When I right click on the left window, the box grays out the option "new window".

In the left pane (Folder View) click in a blank area and make sure the Show All Folders option is checked. You should then be able to add a New Folder.
