if you can un-dock the photo viewing canvas/window from the rest of the program, I am using PE4? I have dual monitors and would like to have the photo on one monitor and my tools on the other. It can be done in Photoshop and I just assumed it could be done in PE4. I have searched all the menus and have checked help with no success. Thank you in advance. TJC

TJC,
I believe the secret is to leave the image window in the primary monitor and move the tools and palettes to the secondary one. Maximize mode may also make a difference, should be turned off, I think. Try it either way.

I went back to try this again. I minimized both windows and tried to drag the frame but the photo window drags right along with it.
I also tried dragging the thumbnail from the photo bin. While you can drag this to the other screen, once you release the mouse button it snaps right back into the photo bin.
My guess would be it just can't be done.

I'm pretty sure it can be done. I don't have a way to test it right now, but I know, you can undock the tools and palettes and take them outside of the image workspace. So, they should move to the other monitor, too.

Thanks Juergen
I can't wait to see what it is. It's probably been staring me in the face the whole time. TJC
