Bill,
I've posted links from Pixentral in the past but never a photo. Just how do you go about doing this?

Hey Chas-
After you send your picture to them you'll see some links on the photo's page. Copy the 3rd (last) link including the brackets, and paste them into your post. You can verify that it worked by clicking 'preview post'. If all else fails, not big deal ... just post the link.
Looking forward to seeing your entry.
Steven - I agree, 'collector' sounds much better.

Chas- I couldn't get your link to work. Check this out. Take the highlighted text from this box and paste it into your reply. It should give you the thumbnail and link.

Bill,
Something is still not quite right. I pasted the link from Steven and it doesn't come up as an active link....? I even manually typed the link in and get the same result....? Either I'm missing a step or my 'puter is blocking the link. Any ideas?

Bill,
I tried another route. I went back and edited my entry but this time I used the insert link icon and the link looks like it took. When I clicked on the link, pixentral said it could not find the picture ....:( Here we go again.....

Ah,what memories those bring back,Shari!A 20 cent stamp! And now Canada Post is going to issue non-denominational stamps,so that they can still raise the postage by a penny a year, without having to issue new stamps!and I'm sure they'll figure out a way to keep us from using last year's without paying extra!:(

Karen - Both are nice shots. I like the detail in the first one, but the 2nd is my favorite because of the story. I hadn't heard of Simpson (much less his Donkey:) ) so I googled it. Fantastic story!
Shari - Very colorful stamps and a good font to go along with them too!
Carol - You did a very nice job of capturing the detail in the stamps. What a different time it was. Very touching entry.

Mary- I like it! My friend lived/went to school in Winona Mn.and asks me how the town is whenever I go through it on the train. Now I know the names of a couple of his hangs!

Steven:
Oh now that's just too funny. When you consider how far reaching this forum is, and then to have someone actually know of this little town in SE Minnesota....
I swiped those tokens from my daughter for the picture. Those are some of the places she spends time at playing pool.....:D
So, which school did your friend attend? About how long ago would that have been?
Can't say that a whole lot has changed over the years, but I do love my little corner of the world.:)
Be sure to let me know next time you're going thru.......I'll be sure to wave!

Mary- I called my friend Jim to ask him about Winona (by the way, that's a picture of him with his son in my gallery. Do you recognize him?) He grew up in New Richmond and spent three years at Winona State University, probably in the late 1970 to early 1980's. He finished school and got his degree at U of Wisc. in River Falls. Based on your tokens, he says the 500 Club sounds familiar. He said he lived next to Zesto Ice Cream Parlor. Is any of this familiar?
I'll let you know next time I'm on a train through town. I'm always heading west, and in the fall, so it is always dark when I go through town.

Steven:
I checked your gallery again, but I have to admit not recognizing him.:D
Sure I know the places you've mentioned. The Zesto is a generic Dairy Queen. He lived in the East End......I'm a West Ender born and raised, but live East now........*S*. Well, you know, it's not as though it's a big metropolitan area here. Point A to Point B in 10 minutes easy!
Just struck me funny is all.........how with this much diversity that someone would actually recognize these things.:)
Be sure to sit on the bluff side of the train;)

Steven - Your St Louis fair entry really shows the token's detail! Nice job.
Ellen - Cool poodle token from Hoquiam, but why would a place known for socialists and wobblies try to reinvent itself? Good photo. It was fun seeing the heads and tails sides.
Alice - No wonder the Looney is so strong compared to the US$ ... Raffy's on the money. Ohhhh Catnada.
Mary - Yes the Winona tokens made me thirsty. I had a college friend from Winona also, your entry brought back some good memories. Nicely done.
Cathy - Very clever and well done. My favorite is the one with the ripples.
Gary - Moon money?? Very nice photo! Welcome back from all of your computer hassles.
Lots of fun entries this week everyone!
