All,
I just got a new PC, and I am having problems with Elements. Each time I import pictures or go to the browser, I get an error message, "code: c0000005", and PSE crashes.
There's a page on Adobe on this error that says:
"Solution: Delete the status.dat file.
Delete the status.dat file located at C:\Documents and Settings\ [user name] \Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\4.0\Organizer\.
Background information
If an image in the Organizer becomes disconnected while you are viewing it in Single Photo View, and you exit from the Organizer without reconnecting the file, then you can't start the Organizer. Deleting the status.dat file resolves the problem."
However, I just did a search and I do not have any status.dat file on my hard drives.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
