I have satisfactorily completed a decent custom slide show but I can't seem to burn a CD. "Burn" under the file menu is grayed out. "output as WMV" and
"burn a video CD" goes through a lengthy burn but produces only a partial, fractured appearing result. Your help is appreciated.

I have Photoshop Elements 3.0 Windows and have used the slideshow feature a lot, so I think that we can figure this out together. But, it is going to take some more information:
(1) What does your slideshow consist of, how long is it, and what was the approximate pixels x pixels dimensions of the photos that went into the Creation?
(2) What is the state of your computer? Have you defragmented, cleared away unnecessary files, closed programs running in the background?
(3) When you have used Output as WMV, what profile did you use? In that same thought, what do you want to do: burn wmv slideshow to CD for playing in Windows Media Player ot burn wmv to VCD format for playback on TV/DVD player that supports VCD?
(3a) Have you tried to save the wmv slideshow and then burn it to CD on software that came with your DVD/CD Writer?
(4) What exactly do you mean by "partial, fractured appearing results"? And, what are you using to view your results?
(5) Is the problem only recent? Are you a new user? Depending on how this first round of questions goes, we could always explore step by step.
