We had family potraits taken not too long ago and I am trying to scan them in. I have cleaned and re-cleaned the scanner bed but still get lots of "dust" speckles in the pictures. I tried the dust & scratches removal in PSE5 but it didn't help much! Outside of going over all the specks with the Healing Tool or Clone Tool, does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi there
It is a common problem but it often depends on the individual photo.
If you post a sample I'll bet we can help.
If you like check out www.pixentral.com you can upload then link your picture to post here.
I use save for web to size it so it is about 150kb in size and around 750 px across.
Once uploaded at the bottom of the dialog I use the Forum box... I copy then paste it in a post on this forum.
People are very good here not using your picture except to help you.

Butch,
Thanks. I'll try and post some samples tonight of what I'm talking about.
