I have just become an Elements subscriber and am so excited about all the galleries to view. What a lot of talent!
I am very new, so have not done much. But I am really looking forward to learning more and more from all of you.
I do look forward to constructive ctiticism.
You can see I use my daughter a lot. She's very photogenic, and I love experimenting with the shots.
I am just beginning to do a little landscape stuff. I have always done portraits and weddings mainly.

Thanks Wendy. I absolutely love your picture with the girl and the strawberry. Care to share the technique?

Hi ...
Oh my I did that one a long time ago ... the strawberry was part of one of Grant's Challenges in January 2005  .
I just found a stock image of a girl, copied the strawberry, enlarged it and layed it over the girl. Then I masked out parts of the strawberry and made other parts semi transparent to let the original dress show through.
I did another copy of the strawberry and made it into a hat then copied it again and added a handle to it to make a handbag.
The background is from one of Scott Kelby's books and the pink metal shape is a cut out section from the background with a Wacky Metallic bevel applied to it.
Last of all I added the strawberry, its reflection and also a reflection of the girl .. :)

Welcome DJ. I can see why you lilke to photograph your daughter. She's lovely. Are her eyes really that blue or is that a little hue/saturation? They are incredible. Jill B

Although her eyes are blue and beautiful, I did enhance on one of the photos.
I like to do variations with color and backgrounds, as you can tell.
I love to work with her,she has been modeling for me for many years.
I would love to get more photos to work on bacause I just switched to digital this year. I had so much money stuck into the 35 mm SLR cameras and equipment for my weddiings and portraits, that it was very costly to switch over. I still have not duplicated everything, but am getting closer.
It's amazing to me how many clients still ask for film rather than digital.
But at least then I have them put on discs so I can edit them myself.

Welcome,
I love the effects in yourgallery. This site can become very additive and a whole lot of fun. It has great memebers.
I was a member for several long months before I ever got brave enough to ask the first queston or post anything.
