That is excellent Pauline. How did you do the paper?

Pauline- It does look so authentic. Your photorealism talent is amazing! (But then, you also take good pictures, win scrappy contests... hmm, I guess you're "just" an artist! :))

Thanks everyone!!! I would love to take credit for dreaming up this idea but it was a tutorial in Issue 10 of Photoshop Creative magazine. It was to be my page for the paper fold at Scrappers guide, but all I got done yesterday was the paper and not the fold!! The girls were thrilled with it and each wanted a copy to take to school. No doubt it might end up on the bulletin board at the highschool!
On the magazine cd was a paper texture background (you could scan any textured paper for this). There was also a scan for the crimped edges of the newspaper. (which was laid on top in luminocity mode and lower opacity)..........the layout was done, the pictures converted to b/w and a half tone filter ran on them, change the blend mode to multiply. Then a few more layers on top to give that aged and mottled look. All in all the hardest part was really getting the layout to look okay.....the rest was just a matter of following directions.
Thanks Jodi. I try! Too bad I couldn't be more like you and pull it out of my head rather than copy someone else's ideas......but at least I'm a pretty good copier...........Hey maybe I should become a forger!
I've decided to do another one to add to the album I'm working on for my niece's wedding! Too bad I have a commitment this morning and can't get started right away.
