This is what my 15 year old is now doing for all her friends birthdays. She has used photos she took last year (freshman year) and taking some from some of her friends "My space" (she doesn't have one :D , I'm a mean mom!:D ). Some of the "my space" photos aren't good quality, but she is happy and her friends LOVE them. All in all, a pretty nice present for about $10.!!!!
Now, not only do I have to fight for computer time with my 17 year old that wants to IM (that I allow) her friends, but now the 15 year old wants my PSE!!!!! It's nice to know where they are: My kitchen!!!!! Also nice to share a hobby!!

EDIT: I changed the name of the thread to make it fit, and I forgot to delete the "s" off of daughter!!!! That will drive me nuts now!!!

Colleen, looks like hubby needs to come up with a second computer just for you. Use your advice you gave Kim for the new camera. :D Tell him you need your own for your new Sports photography career. Make sure he included the new PSE5:D
She did a great job and I am sure her friends love it.

Kim:
Actually, I don't have to. My 17 year old keeps saying "Dad you need to get mom a new computer for all her photo stuff. This one is going to crash if you don't!" Her reason for saying that has NOTHING to do with her being concerned about my photos.....it has to do with the lack of time she has to use the IM!!!!
So, I am just going to sit back and let it all unfold.....I may tell her that she needs to push just a tad harder...:D Right now he still belives we can live without a new computer and a third car!!!!! I push the car issue, if she pushes the computer issue!!!!:D Where's Kay......can I get a certificate??????

Colleen, must be nice to have teens to push Dad for you. My son is only interested in Xbox and Game Cube so he doesn't care what I want to push his Dad to it. Gotta love a 12 year old. I'm glad I don't have to share a computer, I'd go nuts. We have more than we actually need.

Colleen, that is exactly how it is is my house! Mom 'needs' a new computer for all of her photo stuff.
Right now when I turn my back, husband sneaks a peak at some Gator sport thing or a game he follows. We are rarely both home together though. When he turns his back I sneak to the forum.
2 computers just make good sense:D
Love your daughters montage. Great job EB:)

That's really nice! Fortunately - I have my computer that no one else will touch because they know how ballistic I would go if they lost all my pictures. :D My daughter has her own and my hubby uses my laptop so we are all happy.

Colleen,
ooh the joys of being a mom!!!
Now I don't believe that a lady like you with Irish blood in her veins can't get her own way with her hubby ( a mere male).
I will be very surprised if you don't have it my Christmas.

Colleen,
Sounds like my house, with my wife and teenage daughter ganging up on poor old dad. At least in my home everyone has their own computer, now if I just didn't have to worry about that 3rd car issue and the insurance that goes with it. :D

Kev:
:D , but you must remember, I am married to a hard headed Italian gent!
Mark:
Everyone has their own computers (got 'em cheap when hubbys old company went under) but the one in the kitchen is the only one with the internet....hence the issue with the IM!!! Oh, and having lived in NJ for 43 years and then coming to Pennsylvania.....car insurance????? Well, even with 3 cars it would be way under what it was for two cars in NJ!!!! Not sure if MD has high car insurance, but Jersey has to have the highest rates in the country!!!!! ... along with property taxes!!!:D I still love it though...it's home to me!!!
