I just put a new pix out in my gallery. It was taken in Hampton Beach New Hampshire. REDSKY effect applied.

Dave,

Steven's effect really gives this image a terrific amount of atmosphere - well done.

Dave,
what a great effect. A real feeling of a gathering storm.

Looks great, it makes me wish I had some close shore line other than the Potomic river.

Terry,Mark,Betsy,Carol, Kay. Thanks you for your kind words, they are much appreciated.

Norma,
Here is Steven's (Redsky) instructions for this effect
It goes as follows:

Duplicate layer and in Enhance/Adjust Lighting/Shadow and Highlights stretch out the sliders (all three) to the far right.

Add a gradient map to this layer. My favorite so far is in default the Violet/Orange.

Use the Soft Light blend on this gradient layer.

That's it. You can adjust the opacity to suite, or use the layer mask on the adjustment layer to tweak it.
