Great job Kev. You totally deserved that. I'm in AWE of the photo!
Can anyone tell me why all the pics changed when I went to the gallery. But the one of Kev's? I am still showing last weeks pic but when I click it I go to Kev's gallery. That one has me stumped.
Congrats to all!!!
Thanks too! Thanks Colleen! =)

That is an excellent image, kev! Like some others have said, I'll bet that fellow has an interesting story. The smile on his face is very intriguing. I'll have to try and hunt down a copy of that book (got the title in another thread).
And the rest of the images are great, too, everyone. Good choices.
Terry, the extreme closeup of the cat really grabs the viewer. Nice perspective as well. Shooting up at the cat really puts us on his/her level! Did you have a zoom lense, or were you really close? Most cats I know would have bolted for the hills...
deanis, that is one sharp, crisp flower. Nice shot, and nice job of selecting!
tbrannon, all your scrapbook pages are wonderful. That's something that I just struggle to do. No vision. Of course, I've never really scrapbooked anything. That may have something to do with it...:o
cathy, that's a shot with some character! Good capture!
botails, you've given me hope. Your waterfall image is exactly what I've seen in my mind many times as I've tried to shot waterfalls, but I've never quite gotten there. My limited photography knowledge says to use a longer shutter speed to get the blurring of the water, but when I do, the lighter parts of the image are always over exposed and blown out. Yours is great. Nice work.
sleevetugger, now that would be an isolated lighthouse to run. Wow. Hang on during storms, eh? Were you on a retreating boat when you shot it?

Oh boy.........I totally missed this!! Kev, I've been viewing your contribution in your gallery without realizing it had been selected as Image of the Week. Well deserved, nicely done!
Congratulations to all the others.......it never ceases to amaze me the talent amongst the people who frequent this forum. You're an inspiration to all of us who struggle to get the basics, and give us hope for things to come.
I was totally shocked to see my own image amongst these choices. I can't take any credit for it, my hubby took the picture, and as someone suggested it was taken as they left the lighthouse on their boat. I have to give thanks and credit as well to those who helped me straighten that image from it's crooked horizon in the original. Your support and encouragement is what makes this place so easy to hang around and want to learn.
Thanks to everyone here!!:)
