Speech Bubbles

Hi

I'm new to elements. I'm trying to attach a speech bubble with some text in it to a photo but can't figure it out. Please help.

Welcome to the forums. :)

There are speech bubbles in the custom shapes tool, if the problem is you just can't find them.
If it is something else, let us know and I'm sure somebody will be able to help out.

I haven't used them for awhile, but what I do or did, was to write my text first on it's own layer. Then I make the bubble around the text to fit. Once you get the size right, you can merge the two together, with the text on top of the bubble of course.

Welcome to the forum Will. Make sure you are using the Custom Shape Tool and not the Cookie Cutter Tool.

If you already have your bubble with text in it. highlight your text layer
right click and simplify your text
Now go to Layers, merge layers
You should have everything on one layer now.
You can hold down the control key and drag it into your other photo

If you need to resize it once it's there.. hit control T

I wish I had known that before challenge 188. I made the speech bubble by hand. Thanks for the information.

Chas the shape tool has a few of them. I have turned them into brushes. Very easy to use.. :D
