How many extra styles, effects or filters can we add to Elements and still have it run properly. Does it slow it down a lot?

Carol, that is a good questions. I hadn't given that much thought before today myself. I just received Jodi Frye's CD, Photoshop Elements: The Missing Styles. It has about 300 differnet layer styles. After I installed it I thought, "Oh no, is Elements going to take forever to load now with all that." But when I started Elements it didn't take any longer to load than usual and it has not effected the preformance of Elements either.

Hope this was a bit helpful.

Hi ...

Really you just have to be sensible about how many you add and just moniter your start up times .. (there are 300 layer styles on Jodi's CD but they are actually just in several sets so are not going to changed the start up times too much ... now 300 SETS of layer styles probably would  ).

Another point is that if you load in too many then the list becomes so long that you simply can't find the ones you want ...
