upgrade from 3.0 to 5.0

I use the 3.0 version and am thinking of upgrading to 5.0. My question is, does the new 5.0 contain the new tools of 4.0 (which were new to 3.0) or should I get the 4.0 and then the 5.0 to have all the available new things since 3.0?

Hi Foxfire ...

All you need to do is buy PSE5 ... its a stand alone program so it contains all the new features, including the ones they added between PSE3 & PSE4. :)

I have the exact same question! How will all my tags and photos get into the version 5. Is it as simple as installing it, period? Or do I need to do anything special to keep my stuff? Do I uninstall version 3 first?

Hi Marie ...

Your organise should carry over OK ... and you donlt need to unistall PSE3 before installing PSE5 (you can keep both on your pc).

If you have installed extra brushes, styles etc in PSE3 and you want to use them in PSE5 then you will need to install them ... well unless you already have some them in a separate folder. :)
