Hello! First time poster and new to PSE, so I hope I use the correct terminology. I have created a banner for my website. There are two images that I have taken from photos, using the magnetic lasso, and some text. The background is transparent. My problem is that there is a distracting white line around the images, one worse than the other. Is there a way to fix this in the banner? I can post the actually banner, if that would help?

If you mean that around the selection there's some white pixels, then you may erase them with the eraser tool at a low setting and a lot of feathering, else if you can redo your selection, then use feathering right out there, this will make blending easier and will get rid of the white pixels.

That is, if I understood this correctly ;)

Hi ...

.. and welcome to the forum :)

I'm just wondering how you saved them ... and if the problems could be connected to that ?? (Maybe Save for Web as a Gif with a Matt set??)

Well, about the saving...I tried several times to save it as a jpeg, and it kept showing a white background, even when I selected transparent for the start of my banner. Finally, by just playing around I found that if I saved it as GIF, is became transparent. It does not look like I have the Matte setting set for anything. Should I?
