I came across this site yesterday and thought I would pass it on. The more interesting read is on the continued part of this site.

Anyhow, as my dilema continues with Walgreens, I will say the manager made a copy of my CD and worked on them from his home for 2 days using cs2 before I received my prints. I am very greatful for his effort ...to be sure.
He gave me the ratios he used.
Now before passing any of that on, I want to start fresh with new images and see how it goes. Some of what he did looked very good. Then there were others that the "frame" was there, but the subject in the middle was distorted. (He was working with .jpg).
I plan to return to some psd files and adjust the main subject with his frame constraints he used and see..
I shall return.

Thanks for the link to FrogPrints, which had a good explanation of the differences/options for print sizes. One thing I noticed is that the site says digital cameras take images in a 4:3 ratio. I previously used a point and shoot digital camera (Sony), which did use the 4:3 ratio. However, I recently got a Nikon D200 DLSR and, if I'm not mistaken, it takes images at the traditional 35mm film camera ratio of 3:2, which should equate to a 6x4 print. Just wanted to point this out as an additional consideration.

Thanks,

Glenn
