Subscriber Question

Hello -

I have a question regarding subscriptions. It had been a while since I received my newsletter and I went to PSE website to see what is shown as the most recent version distributed. I couldn't find it anywhere. I called PSE folks today and learned that I missed receiving Volume 3, Number 5 and the Number 6 is being mailed this week. I asked the woman the same question above: where can I find on the webpage which is the most recent version and she didn't know so I am posting here?

Another question, possibly related, is when I sign onto this website PSE User Forum and log in, it says "Welcome Subscriber", however, when I go to the "Forums" section, it says "Welcome Slophotos" and I know for certain that I am signed in. When you sign in on the subscriber page do you get the generic welcome Subscriber, or does it welcome you by your sign-in name?

I'm enjoying reading the discussion regarding PSE 5, as I recently upgraded to 4 and was planning to buy a book or two on PSE-4 and just hadn't gotten to it yet. Now I wonder?

The forum and the subscriber log-ins are different. Which is why someone can be a member of the forum and not be a subscriber. And why some links to subscriber only tutorials won't work if you aren't signed in as a subscriber when you click on them.

Took me a while to figure that all out. I always forget to sign in on the front page before coming here. :)

Thanks for the reply. I know there are two different log-ins. What I am wondering is if when you sign into the subscriber area, does it say "Welcome Subscriber" or does it say "Welcome xxx(your login name)"? I am not sure I am truly signing in as a subscriber and the woman I spoke with at PSE User didn't know the answer to this or an answer to how to find the current released newsletter version on the PSE Webpage.

Hi- Mine just says welcome subscriber after I log in. You should also be able to tell if you're logged in as a subscriber if you can actually get to the subscriber videos, etc.

I don't know where it tells you on the webpage about what newsletter we're on (other than here in the forum- where people have mostly all received 5). You can check in the subscriber are and see what extras they're offering associated with the newsletter. On that page, it shows extras for 6.

Thank you. You have answered both my questions. I thought it odd because with every other magazine and on-line newsletter, etc when I log-in it says my name and also it immediately shows which issue is "current", but PSE User must be different.

I appreciate your educating me.
