Sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm pretty new to PSE.
I created a montage then intended to select a circle 9 cm in diameter for a coaster. Unfortunately I made it 8 cm. I inverted the selection and cut the background.
I want to make the selection 9cm but do not seem to be able to do this.
Please can someone help?

Ann,
I'm not quite clear about this. Are you trying to increase the diameter of a circle that contains an image? Or do you have an empty circle surrounded by background and you want to increase the size of the empty space?
Easiest would be if you could post your project. You can do that at Pixentral (www.pixentral.com).

Maybe this would work for you. You could try selecting the circle portion with the move tool and then hold Shift key and drag from the corner to make it a tad bigger.

Ann,
if you circle is on its own layer and you have Grant's Tools you could try the transform selection tool.

Hi Ann ...
You could use the move tool to increase the size of your circular image. Just select the move tool, click on the layer that has the circular image on it.
Move your cursor into one corner of the bounding box (which will appear around the circular item) and when the cursor changes shape to a line with an arrow on both ends then click once.. now look at the top of the screen and you will see a width and a height box.
You can use those boxes to resize the circle ... although I'm still not sure if that is quite what you want to do ...

That's what I would have suggested. As a matter of fact, filling in 112.5% in both the Height and Width boxes would take the image from 8 cm to 9 cm.
