Hello,
I am creating a New Photoshop 'creation' for my online forum. I want to insert links (both a hotlink and a mailto:)into this thing and I have spent the last 2 1/2 hours searching the net to see if this is possible.
Is it possible? If so, how do I do this?
Thanks!

Cheryl,
Do I understand correctly that you want your Photoshop image to contain HTML links? If so, I do not think it is possible.
OTOH, most HTML editors have a facility which allows you to add a hyperlink to an image, so that the image is, in essence, a button... you will need to research the particular editor you are using.

Yes, that's what I'd like to do. RATS! :p

Yes, I can do that. There's a text portion of my Photoshop creation and that's where I wanted the link. Rats again!
Thanks!!

Maybe you could fake it...
What if you were to cut up your image into sub-images, not unlike puzzle pieces, so that the text area could be isolated as a separate image.
Then, on your web page, you could assemble the sub images so that they appear as a single large image, but add a hyperlink to the small image which contains the picture of text.
I believe that "big" Photoshop has a facility called "slicing" which helps with this sort of thing -- but if you're not doing it frequently, maybe you can get by using Elements to chop up the large picture.
Just a wild idea...

Added thoughts...
If you can overlay an image over another on your web site, then all you would need is to create a small image containing your text and lay it on top of your main graphic - with the hyperlink assigned to the small image, of course.
Maybe you could even use a transparent image for the smaller image, so that you don't have to worry about exact placement?
I'm just guessing about this stuff, so anybody with actual knowledge will be a preferred source!!!
