I am reading the Missing Manual Elements 4 and it says to create a water mark I am to use the tools in the labels section. I put labels into the Adobe help in the editor and did not find it. I have looked through all the tools. I am trying to find the labels section? in tools in Elements 4 to try to create a watermark for a picture.

Hi Sheila ...
I'm really not sure what that means ... could you type in exactly what it says in the book for that part ... I am wondering if it means using one of the Custom Shapes ...
If we can't work it out then have you seem Matt's Video in the Subscriber Area on doing watermarks on your images :)

It is in the Chapter, Processing Multiple Files, however, it says in the instructions you can do one photo at a time. = I do not want to cross copyright boundaries putting too much here. I have been reading and rereading sections of this book all year. It is very helpful.
I cannot find the Label Tab.
Photoshop Elements 4, The Missing Manual, Page 216:
Attaching tools in the Labels section let you add captions and copyright notices, which Elements calls watermarks, to your images. Watermarks and captions get imprinted right onto the photo itself.
(choose from the pull down menu right below the Label tab)

Hi Sheila ...
File>Process Multiple Files ...
Then look over to the right hand side of the process multiple files box and you will see labels. Click on the little triangle next to it and the watermark section will come up :)
Hope this helps ...

Wendy,
Thank you, I found it via your instructions, and I tried it on a picture however there is nothing on the picture. I did as it said and then when I clicked ok the picture disappeared and I found the picture in the file it said it was saved to, but there is no watermark on it. Plus there was no preview of what it would look like. I will have to regroup on how to do a watermark.
I assume there is a fee for being a member of the Subscriber Area?
I just spent all my saved money purchasing a Plextor PX-716UF - DVDRW (dual layer) drive - Hi-Speed USB/IEEE 1394 (FireWire) ( PX-716UF/SW. My computer burner was not behaving.

I assume there is a fee for being a member of the Subscriber Area? Yes. Save up, it's worth every penny and then some.

Hi Sheila ...
I just tried it and it does work but because the font is small its hard to spot ... try increasing the font size and then you will be able to see it. Basically its just adding text at a lower opacity, good for multiple image but not really if you want it for just one. To be honest I do prefer the way that Matt does it as I think that it looks better ...
There is a charge for the subscriber area but it really is worth it. Not only do you get the newletter but you also get access to the Subscriber area ... there are over 130 Video tutorials in there and around 70 written ones plus you get Extras and Downloads too. Additionally they add new Videos to the area most weeks ... so its a great learning resource :)
