I have been searching every where to figure out the best way to organize all the parts of scrapbooking. I have more questions now then when I started my search.
What is the main stream way to organize? I am thinking that it might not matter because you can bring it into PSE4 organizer and then tag it? I am not sure about the organizer. I love it for quick finds but I find myself messing with my photos and scrapbooking files and folders directly and tehn that messes up my organizer. I am sure you have answered this a thousand times and I am thanking you in advance for your wisdom. :)

Toni,
There are probably as many different ways to organise things as there are people doing it
I have a folder just for scrapbooking bits and pieces and in the main part of the folder I have a copy of each of the kits in jpg format so I can see at a glance what I have. In the scrapbooking folder I have sub folders for papers, frames, embellishment and ribbons.
You need to find a setup that suits you and how you work and that is the right one for you to use.

Thank you Karen. I know you are right but then I tend to start thinking too much and second guessing myself. Like the Kits. Do I break them up or keep them together? I think I have felt more comfortable with your idea. I started to do that and then I had DL Wendy's kit with the blue and white paper and button and stars. Then I thought if I sperate them will I remember they go together? Then, I thought I would keep them in a kits folder and then sperate a copy of them to the different folders and that started me thinking double space being taken up. I do have the room because I have a external drive. See, I am going to drive you guys crazy too! :D

I tend to keep each kit in its own folder - which is easier to do if they download that way instead of as indivdual pieces. That is one way I can keep track of the designer so I know who to give credit too.
When I first started digiscrapping I downloaded every freebie I could find - now I'm starting to go back through with a critical eye and think about whether or not I will ever really use it - if I don't think I will, out it goes.

Thank you Nita. :)
Jane,
Great advice. I am trying not to download every little thing. It would get very overwelming thats for sure.
