Just out of curiousity, I have seen the effect in some of the pictures in the gallery, and I was wondering how do you make the torn paper/picture look.... I seen it more often on scrapbook pages, rather then just images. Just wondering.
Thanks
Alicia

There's Atomic Cupcake:
http://www.atomiccupcake.com/catalogactions.php?cat=r
But when I got it quite awhile ago, you could get one action at a time--wasn't a club. But the action takes forever to complete itself--& I do mean forever! The computer grinds away & you wonder if it will ever finish.
Now I do it myself, learned from a tutorial on a CD I purchased from Linda Sattgast. I love her tutorials. Here's her website:

I do it with the tutorial from Linda's CD too. Love her stuff. One of my fanatsy's if I win the lottery is to hire her to tutor me. (She lives just less than 2 hrs from me.) :D

Thank you all so much. I will try it as soon as i get a second. Things have just been so hectic that I have not gotten to do any more with PE. THought I was going tohave time this weekend but that didnt happen. Im going out of town tonight for a family emergency, and I am getting married in 11 days. SO needless to say, I have no time. Hopefully I will be able to very soon. But I just wnted to take a minute to thank you all again.

There is a great site called digitalpapertearing by Steph Krush that a lot of scrapbookers use.
She has straight tears as well as some fun shapes and they are incredibly realistic looking.

MyJanee.com has a tutorial on torn paper.

I used it on the hydrangea scrapbook page in my SmugMug gallery
Thanks for the links to the other resources. It might be a good idea to post your great links in the Helpful Links thread for future reference.l

Hi Alicia
I hope the emegency sorts itself out :( and congrats on the upcomming wedding.
If you read Nancy's post, a few weeks back, about how to be a good wife and keep your man happy then you won't have time for any of this.
So you have 11 days to play. :D

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. Everything is good (good as can be expected). My grandfather is dying of lung cancer. He had lung cancer at the begining of this year, and went through months of radiation, and it was gone, and all of a sudden he got sick again, and found out that the lung cancer is back. He was in the hospital, and they released him to hospice. So now they are just trying to make him as comfortable as possible. But again thank you for all the nice things...
and thanks for all the links and info on the torn look. I will definatly have photos to share after our wedding. cant wait to share them. (cant wait).
Gary, you made me laugh.. thanks i needed a laugh.
again, many many many thanks to all of you...

There are paper tears that are .png files at Rendered Memories. You lay them over you paper and then erase the parts you don't want/need. They are very realistic.
